The Holy Bible
We believe the Holy Bible – Old and New Testaments – is the verbally inspired Word of God. It is inerrant in the original writings and the final authority in faith and life.

The Triune God
We believe there is only one true God. This God is eternally existent, all powerful, and all knowing. He is the creator and sustainer of the universe. He is “triune” in nature – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit:

  • The Father
We believe God the Father has a plan, and will consummate His plans, for all things and all beings. He is the benevolent “Father” to all who come to Him through faith in the Son, Jesus Christ, who willingly submitted Himself to the Father’s plan for the salvation of mankind.
  • The Son
We believe the “Son of God” became incarnate by the power of the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary and was born of her. He is Jesus Christ, the Savior of everyone who will by faith accept the grace offered in Him. Jesus suffered and died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father to intercede for us.
  • The Holy Spirit
We believe God the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, comforts believers, and guides them into all truth. It is the privilege of every believer to be indwelt by the Holy Spirit; and the obligation of every believer to walk according to the Spirit’s leading in order to please God and fulfill His purpose for our life.

The Salvation of Man
We believe all people have sinned – violated God’s commands – and salvation can not be earned by man’s good works but, it is the free gift of God received only by personal trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. Without faith in Jesus Christ, true repentance, forgiveness of sins, and following after Christ, no one can be a true Christian. We also believe once a person truly receives God’s gift of salvation, he is kept secure forever by God who will cause the true believer to persevere in his faith from that point forward.

The Church
We believe the Church – the body of Christ – is the community of all believers in Christ. God has also established individual local churches to encourage and build up believers in their faith, equip them to serve and minister to others, and prepare them to share their faith with unbelievers.

The Devil – Satan
We believe there is a real and personal Devil. He is God’s adversary who, along with his demons, seeks to undermine God’s work in this world and deceive mankind. At God’s predetermined time, he and his demons will be eternally punished in the lake of fire.

The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ for His church, followed by a period of tribulation on the earth culminating in the bodily return of Jesus Christ to establish a thousand year reign on earth.

The Eternal State of Man
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind. Those who have believed in Christ will live forever with God and those who have rejected Christ will be judged and cast into the eternal lake of fire.
